This past weekend we set off for En Fuego, an all-day concert with tons of great bands. However, our non-friend (TS Fay, as we like to call her) also decided to come to the concert. After driving for a little over 5 hours in crazy wind and rain, we arrived at our friend Jen's house. We drove out to En Fuego just in time for the entire thing to shut down due to 60 mph wind advisories and tornado watches/warnings. Good times. But after driving 5 hours, we felt like we still needed to do something fun to justify the drive (not that hanging out w/ Jen wasn't fun) :) We also needed to test out the 87 cent ponchos from Wal-mart.
So we headed out to some random places around town and eventually end up at Jen's church for our 'senior portraits' with our ponchos. All the while TS Fay is moving in, which did help with the wind effect we needed for some of the shots. :) However, it was kind of scary a few times, what with the transformers surging every time the power went out and the massive tree limbs falling all around us. No, it was probably not the smartest thing we've ever done, but it was one of the funest.
Ok, so originally this post got VERY long, so I’ll divide it into 2 parts. You can thank me later :) But for now, I'll just post some of the pics so that maybe you'll bear with me and tune in for episode 2, coming to a city near you...
Everyone leaving En Fuego as we arrive
